Wesley Leichty, D.D.S.

Meet Dr. Leichty
I first chose dentistry because I love working with my hands and with people. As I began my journey through dental school, I realized I have a true passion for helping people, listening to people, and helping people with more than just oral health. Working with unique people reminds me that every interaction I have with my patients can impact that person, either positively or negatively. I attempt to treat everyone I encounter with a positive sincerity. Making a true difference in patients' self-esteem by improving their oral health and smile is something I never take for granted. Each person I meet, I treat like family.
Education and Continuing Education
I was blessed with an education in dentistry that has allowed me to meet patients, listen to patients' concerns and fears, and treat patients as I would treat my loved ones. I completed my undergraduate education at La Sierra University and Pacific Union College before continuing on to dental school at Loma Linda University, graduating with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2006.
Continuing education is important in staying up-to-date with current technologies and materials and deciphering what technologies and materials can improve and benefit our patients' oral health. I am actively involved in continuing education through many professional organizations, including conventions in California and Las Vegas, Nevada. Additionally, I participate in in-office continuing education training and online CE courses.

Outside the Office
I have been a proud resident of Loma Linda for my entire life and live here now with my wife, Carrie, and our two young children, Carter and Emma. My children have been the biggest blessing in my life, so whatever free time I have, I spend with them. I also enjoy playing golf, cooking, and singing to my garden.
One of the most amazing experiences of my life was a mission trip to South Africa. The act of giving health care to those less fortunate is such a rewarding experience that I hope to incorporate more into my yearly routine.
